About the Candidate

I moved to Bethlehem, PA in 2005 with my husband and two kids for a position at Lehigh University.
Our children have attended Lehigh University Child Care, Holy Infancy School, Northeast Middle School, and Liberty High School. They are now in their first year of college, and we couldn’t be more proud.

I am employed by The Bach Choir of Bethlehem as the administrator of the Bel Canto Youth Chorus. I am also a professional musician, playing bassoon in the Southside Sinfonietta, and recently with Jakopa’s Punch, the Touchstone Theatre house band.

My first name is an Irish spelling of SHEILA. I’m very proud of my Irish-Italian heritage and love sharing my family traditions with friends.

I am a fierce advocate for the arts and arts integration in all levels of education. I have worked in many school settings in my 25 year career. Bethlehem Area Schools have some of the most devoted teachers I have ever had the pleasure to serve. Administrators in the schools and throughout the district are excellent leaders not only in the buildings, but throughout the community.

Kenosha, WI is my hometown. You might hear my mid-western flat accent, or that some of my words are “mis-pronounced,” according to my kids.
